Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a branch of ancient Chinese medicine which promotes the
balance and flow of chi (pronounced chee) or energy throughout the fourteen
major energy channels of the body. The acupuncturist inserts very fine
flexible needles into specific acupuncture points. Chi is meant to flow
freely throughout the body. Blockages of chi can occur and result in
pain and various health conditions such as arthritis, stress and chronic
fatigue. Periodic acupuncture treatments can help to slow aging, relieve
pain and depression and can even help with insomnia and thyroid conditions.
There are at least 70 other health conditions such as allergies and
headaches that can be treated with acupuncture.
Acupuncture can even help in chronic pain cases. Instead of just
relieving pain, acupuncture addresses the underlying cause of the pain.
An estimated 15 million people try acupuncture for the first time every
year. Americans are now seeing first hand the miraculous results of
this ancient healing art.
Botox
SpectraComplete is proud to announce the addition of Botox
and Juvaderm injections for our patients. Amanda
has recently become certified in providing this advanced anti-aging
treatment. Botox injections are widely used to reduce appearance of
wrinkles on the forehead, in between the eyes and around the eyes (crows
feet). Juvaderm is a dermal filler substance to replace collagen that
the body has stopped producing. It is used to reduce appearance of wrinkles
around the laugh lines, above the lip and chin. It also can enlarge
the lips. All the products used are FDA approved and available now with
individual pricing depending on the treatment. Call
the office now for your free consultation.
Detox
Toxins come from environmental pollutants, chemical additives,
refined foods, through polluted air, drinking water, pharmaceutical
drugs, mercury, pesticides, tobacco, alcohol, and our food supply to
name a few. Toxic wastes are carried throughout the circulatory system
and to every organ. Toxins are stored in our cells, tissues, glands,
and cavities that have been filled with mercury.
Toxins slowly damage cells, usually undetected until the onset of a
diseased state. The largest detoxifying organ in our body is the liver.
It filters and eliminates waste, which the liver turns into bile. The
bile is then filtered through the gallbladder and then into the intestinal
tract. The intestinal tract absorbs nutrients from food. If your intestinal
tract is not working properly either due to diarrhea or constipation,
less nutrients will be absorbed. Kidneys and the bladder also play an
important role in filtering toxins. Some of the diseases that are associated
with toxicity are autism, cancer, allergies, fibromyalgia, Alzheimer's,
irritable bowel syndrome, infertility, adrenal and thyroid disorders.
The body eliminates toxins by breath, sweat, urine, and
bowel. If the body is in overload, it will not be able to handle the
detoxification process alone. The safest way to start a detox program
is by cleaning up your diet and environment. This means no artificial
sweeteners, preservatives or colors, limit or stop drinking caffeinated
beverages and alcohol, avoid smoking and use natural cleaning products
and pesticides. Drink plenty of clean water and green tea. Choose meats
that are free from antibiotics and hormones. Consume fruits, vegetables,
and other high fiber foods that are either organic or washed very well.
Start an exercise program that promotes sweating or use a sauna. Once
you started this process, make an appointment with Dr. Koche at Spectra
Complete. She will be able to guide you through the next, more complicated
stages of your detox program where she will be following your progress
and outcome.
